The short version

These terms govern your purchase and use of this website, the K4 Edu Solutions portal, and Financial Accounting & Reporting: Basic Accounting for Business Organizations (2026 Edition, ISBN 978-621-06-0303-3). By placing an order or entering an access code, you agree to them.

2. What we sell

Chapter 1, the cover, and the table of contents are readable free of charge, without an account. Chapter 1 is not sold.

3. Your licence to the digital material

When you buy digital access you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to:

The licence does not permit you to:

Ordinary academic use is expressly fine: quoting a passage in your coursework with attribution, working the exercises, discussing the content, or citing the book in a paper.

Access codes

Your code is personal to you. Treat it like a password. A code found to be shared publicly or used beyond its device limit may be deactivated without refund. If you think your code has been compromised, tell us and we will replace it.

4. Copyright

All content — text, illustrations, question banks, page images and portal software — is protected by Republic Act No. 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, and by international copyright treaties. Copyright is retained by the author.

We will say plainly what our technical protections do and do not do: the portal serves the book as watermarked images with copying and printing disabled. That is a deterrent. It discourages casual redistribution. It cannot stop someone determined to photograph a screen, and we do not pretend otherwise. What protects the work is copyright law, and your good faith.

5. Prices and payment

6. Delivery

Digital: your access code is emailed automatically as soon as payment clears — normally within seconds. If it has not arrived within 15 minutes, check your spam folder, then email us with your order reference and we will send it directly.

Printed: orders are dispatched within 3–5 business days. Delivery typically takes a further 3–10 days depending on your region and courier. Provincial and island deliveries can take longer. We will tell you if anything is delayed.

7. Refunds

Refunds and returns are governed by our Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: a full refund within 7 days for digital access, 7-day returns on unopened printed copies, and repair, replacement or refund whenever something is genuinely wrong — as required by RA 7394.

8. Availability of the portal

We aim to keep the portal available continuously, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting incidents and events outside our control may cause downtime. If an outage meaningfully eats into your access period, tell us and we will extend it.

9. Educational content — an important limit

This book is teaching material. It reflects Philippine accounting and tax rules as they stood when the 2026 edition was prepared, including PFRS, PFRS for SMEs, the TRAIN Law (RA 10963), the EoPT Act (RA 11976), and 2025 SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG rates.

Rules change. Nothing here is professional accounting, tax, audit or legal advice for your particular situation, and it does not create a professional engagement between you and the author. For an actual filing, transaction or examination requirement, check the current issuances and consult a practising professional.

We also do not guarantee any examination result. The book is designed to prepare you well; it cannot promise you will pass.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights as a consumer under RA 7394, and liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost study time, examination outcomes, or business losses.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Found a security flaw? Please report it to k4edusolutions@gmail.com. Good-faith reports are welcome and we will not pursue anyone who discloses responsibly.

12. Suspension

We may suspend or revoke access where a code is shared publicly, where the material is being redistributed, or where these terms are seriously breached. Where it is fair to do so, we will contact you first. Revocation for a genuine breach does not carry a refund.

13. Institutional and bulk orders

Schools, departments and review centres should contact us directly at k4edusolutions@gmail.com. Institutional licensing, purchase orders and instructor access are arranged separately and are not covered by the online checkout terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the date you bought. Continued use of the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes fall to the courts of the Philippines, without prejudice to your right to bring a consumer complaint to the Department of Trade and Industry.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

16. Contact

Email k4edusolutions@gmail.com. The author answers personally, and most questions are resolved the same day.
